Grounded enough to ROOT.
Brave enough to RISE.
Free enough to FLY.
Nobody rises in the same way. That’s the point.
Sometimes color fades so slowly it's easy to miss. Life layers over what's real and one day the world just feels a little less vivid.
And sometimes the color is already alive, but something whispers there's another level. A deeper shade. A fuller life waiting underneath the surface of the one already being lived.
The work starts in the same place. The soil. The roots. The truth of what's ready to grow. Given the right conditions, color doesn't just return. It deepens.
That's Roots 2 Rise Coaching.
When life loses its color, something inside you knows.
Meet L’Anja
I'm L'Anja. I am a little bit of everything all rolled up in one. I'd never say I'm one thing. What I am is human, with all sorts of dimensions... from slapstick humor to did she just say that... from serious and deep to light and silly, from social to hermit, and so much more. I will never pretend to know it all. I am a forever learner, but what I do know is that I am not here for myself alone. I believe in connectivity and community, that we were never meant to ride solo (though I have been an "I'll do it myself" gal in the past). I have ALWAYS had a desire and a way about me to uplift others, to shine the light on their power when they feel dim, to help put a little more pep in their step... a "hell no, you are so much more than that." I thrive on seeing others succeed in whatever way that looks like for them. Want better daily habits? Want to learn to communicate better? Want to run the world? Want to stop the self-sabotage or negative self-talk? Whatever it is, I want that for you.
I've spent close to thirty years in leadership: retail, law firm, business consulting, team building, operations. I know how to build things, hold things, and keep things moving when everything around me says otherwise. For a long time, that was the whole identity. The responsible one. The strong one. The one who holds it all together. I wore every one of those like a badge until I realized most of them weren't mine to wear.
What I couldn't see for most of those years was how much of it was running on survival mode I'd been carrying since childhood. I wasn't just leading. I was outrunning. And honestly? I was damn good at it. Which made it even harder to stop.
The work I did to slow down, look at all of it honestly, and rebuild from the roots up is what became Roots 2 Rise Coaching. It wasn't fast. It wasn't pretty. But it was the realest thing I'd ever done.
Now I coach people who are ready for that kind of real. Some are in transition. Some are already thriving and hungry for more. Some just have a feeling they can't shake. All of them are capable. What I bring is heart, nearly three decades of experience, intuition, and a willingness to say the honest thing even when it's the harder thing to say.
If this feels like your kind of space, the rest of my story is here.
Who finds their way here?
People who hold a lot and make it look easy. People who are hard to read and secretly wish someone would bother trying. People who built the whole damn thing and are sitting inside it thinking "now what?" People who need a kick in the booty. People who need a hand to hold. People who need a soft landing. People who need all three in the same conversation and aren't sure that exists.
People who want better routines but can't stop sabotaging the ones they start. People who are confident in the boardroom and spiraling in the parking lot after. People who are genuinely doing well and just want to do it more intentionally.
People who aren't sure who they are yet. People who used to know and lost the thread somewhere along the way. People who have no idea where they want to go but know it's not where they've been standing.
If you're still reading, that's probably your answer.
One honest conversation. That's where it starts.
I'm not the coach who's going to nod along and tell you everything is beautiful.
I mean, I might. If it is. But I'm also the one who's going to look you in the eye and say the thing no one else in your life is willing to say. With love. But I'm going to say it.
That's how I work. I hold space and I light fires. I'll sit with you in the heaviest thing you've ever carried and I'll also call you out when you're hiding behind your own story. Both happen. Sometimes in the same session.
Because here's what I know to be true: both can be true.
You can be strong and still be struggling. Successful and still feel lost. Love someone who hurt you. Grieve something you chose to leave. Be grateful for your life and still want more from it. The dark and the light don't take turns. They coexist. And most of the world will try to make you pick one. I won't.
That's what sets this work apart. I'm not here to fix you. I'm not here to hand you a five-step framework and send you on your way. I'm here to walk into the mess with you, find what's real, and help you build from there. Sometimes that looks like stillness. Sometimes that looks like a push. Sometimes I'll swear. You'll probably swear too. Good.
I've spent nearly thirty years in leadership across retail, hospitality, and law firm operations. I have a post-graduate degree in Coaching, Leadership, and Business Development, along with certifications in NLP, Jay Shetty Coaching methodology, and trauma-informed coaching practices. I know strategy. I know systems. I know how to build things that work.
But what I really know is people. I know what it looks like when someone is performing instead of living. I know what it sounds like when someone is telling the version of the story they think they're supposed to tell. And I know what happens when they finally stop.
I grew up in chaos and beauty at the same time. I raised kids while raising myself. I led teams while unlearning everything I thought leadership meant. I didn't come to this work through a textbook. I came to it through my life. Every uncomfortable, messy, miraculous mile of it.
So no, I'm not the coach who keeps it polished and professional at all times. I'm the coach who keeps it real. And if you're looking for someone who will hold your hand and push your buttons in the same conversation, you're in the right place.
Coaching Offerings: Pathways
This work is one-on-one, private, and built around your life as it actually is, not a template. How you lead and how you live aren't separate conversations. They never were.
There's no single reason people start here. Some want clarity. Some want direction. Some are already moving and want to go deeper. Whatever brought you to this page, there's a pathway that meets you where you are.
Start with a Compass Call

Inspired by…
My Nana was a painter, a philosopher, a meditator. She experienced the world through all of her senses and she taught me to do the same. Not through lessons. Through how she lived.
I can still hear her: "Oi, L'Anja, look at that beautiful red." A flower. But the way she saw it influenced the way I see everything.
I notice the red. I stop for the sunset. I let a good song wreck me. The richness of life is in the moments most people are moving too fast to catch. She knew that. And she made sure I would too.
The roots that made me are the roots of this work.
A little snipit of her art below. Josie Lorca
The Color Can Come Back
The Color Can Return. Or It Can Deepen.
If something on this page landed, trust that.
The Compass Call is where it usually starts. One conversation. No pressure. Just space to get honest about where you are and what's ready to grow.
